In the past when I've come here I've always done the section that connects to Molino basin ,well actually the loop which heads toward Chimney rock (because I have always Mt. Biked it). That is the section I intended to do this time but since they have blocked off the old Parking area (where the "lake" was) I drove up to the Bellota gate and I saw trail#15 to the east (the section between Bellota Rd. and Reddington RD). This is definitely one of my most favorite areas in the Reddington area. You feel as if you're so far away from civilization. This is mainly a rolling trail (the part I was on) It's a good hike with a dog because it's not incediably rocky and you have the trail pretty much to yourself. I saw no one and even though the trail was in great shape it looked little used. Saw a couple of deer a few rabbits and a squirrel or two. |
