Just a quick hike to a spring well, the 2 tallest Aspens in the world. Yes I said world, amazing... and the forest is just so prestine back here. Lots of fresh bear scat and we found plenty of big bear tracks but no sightings. Lots of Red Squirrel homes though in the area.

Just a quick hike out to one of the fingers near Riggs Flat campground were we got an awesome overlook to the whole SE of the Pinalenos.

Great hike, great view. Waterfalls were flowing ok, could always be better. Love to stop near flat rock shelf for lunch. Didn't make it all the way back but close enough.

Ash Creek, then return Ash Creek via Webb peak

We hiked down to Ash Creek Falls starting near the campground near Columbine. We returned the from the other fork and went to Webb Peak coming back from the waterfall elevation of 7000 feet roughly.

This would not be recommended coming back unless you are in very good shape. The back way to Webb peak is a bit rough for the monthly hiker. It was a very unique way that I have not seen though and is worth it at least once in a life time.

Atempted to reach the falls only to run into a 1 hour long wall of water half way. Still enjoyed the hike until we took shelter under a tree to which I ponchos and the tree didn't really keep us dry at all.

Well, this was our second attempt to the falls. We thought we made it to the falls, which was the rock slide and thought that was it. It was an amazing day for hiking and we still enjoyed it. When we returned home from this camping trip we realized that this was not Ash Creek Falls... it was a major bummer and getting to be a thorn that we had not seen it yet.

This was our very first attempt to reach the falls. We were not sure how long it would take to get there and the group we went with ran out of time and didn't believe that there was a huge waterfall along the trail. We weren't even sure how big it was at this time.

Didn't think this one was hikable but it was. Had a blast doing it with some good friends. A bit warm for the time of year but really not to bad at all. The mail box at the top is a neat treat.

The falls were running decent enough and made a great shaddy spot for our packed lunch. The hike out was a killer and a bit hot for March, a bit too hot.

Hiked in 28 degree weather and had a bit of snow fall on the drive back, a bit cold. We made it to the cliff dwellings which were pretty cool.
