We did this loop on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Great weather. There was snow for 3 miles but it was hard packed and easy to hike over. Lots and lots of downed trees across the trail on most of the loop in the woods. I would say around 50+ downed trees. Usually it was a quick hop over the tree but sometimes it was a crawl under. The down trees were more difficult with two dogs. Lost the trail once during a section of downed trees and snow. GPS track made it nice to refund the trail.

What an awesome canyon in Arizona! Pretty short hike to the canyon start and you swim across a reservoir right back to your car. A few of the raps could be pretty serious business based upon the current.

Four day canyoneering trip over Thanksgiving weekend. Did a steep, off trail approach to Flipoff Canyon and then did a technical descent of Crack Baby Canyon, which was stunning! Camped in Kanab Creek and then went up Jumpup Canyon and did a technical descent of Rattlesnake Canyon. On the 3rd day, did a bottoms up ascent of Kirks Chasm until the upclimbing was too much and then went back to Kanab Creek to upclimb Scotty's Hollow. Scotty's Hollow canyon was awesome canyon with many waterfalls and beautiful sections. Had to buddy boost and/or use handlines to get up the canyon. Spent the night in the wider section of the canyon and then on the fourth day did our exit hike up a 45 degree scree slope which required some route finding.

Very nice canyon with several nice sections throughout the slot. Slept at a sweet location just before the confluence of burro canyon. Pack rafter the Colorado and drank two beers that the rafters offered. Hiked over to lava falls and saw several rafters go through it. Doesn't look packraftable but not as big as I thought. Hiked out on the steep scree slope Lava trails exit.

Got to see a view over Toroweap for the first time. Very nice.

Went on an awesome Grand Canyoneering expedition starting at 150 mile canyon trailhead. Did a first descent of a sweet slot with 8 raps followed by a canyon with several more raps. Packrafted down the Colorado after traversing some very sketchy and exposed big horn sheep trails. Did some climbing up to the Esplanade and finally went down a seldom seen canyon that was probably only done once before. Learned how to ascend up 150 mile canyon.

Carried about 12 pounds of food.

Very nice canyon that was found by Vaporman. Second time that we did this canyon. No wetsuit required now but some cool wader pools that made me a little cold. Nice mossy raps and some large raps up to about 150 feet. Long hike out through west fork of oak creek followed by road walk, followed by a climb up theAB young trail, followed by a run back to the truck.

Camped over night on the rim above insomnia canyon. Swimmers were a little cool and 4/3 wetsuit was nice. Caboosed the big drop with no issues. Long hike though the west fork of oak creek, followed by the road walk, followed by the climb up AB Young trail, followed by a 3.6 mile walk back to camp. Saw a very large black bear about a 1/4 mile before the fire look out. The bear was about 50 yds fom me and running away quickly. Carried a big pack on this trip since it was just the two of us with ~700 feet of rope
