First Trip up Piestewa Peak and we did it at Sunset! This has to be the most maintained trail in the city, and the most populated. Fun time and great views of the sunset! This hike reminds me of being on my stair master, but it gets your addrenaline going!

Had a great trip! Got a little off trail a little bit, due to a bush hiding the trail marker (If you have done this trail, I believe a lot of people miss it on their first time).

Tough hike out due to the loose gravel and steep incline, but was great to see a waterfall a couple of hours outside of Phoenix! Met some great people out their too!

Want to do an overnight on this trip next time, and go when the falls are actually flowing good!

Awesome place to visit and it isn't a very strenuous hike, just the climb at the end coming out! Beautiful waterfalls and canyons! ONly wish that other hikers would clean up after themselves :(

Great that we woke up early to get a head start before it got too hot. The last hour it was getting pretty warm, but I brought enough water to get me through the hike!

Hiking up from Phantom Ranch! Good trail, and a little less steep from the South Kaibab Trail went hiked down on the previous day. Good long hike uphill, with a lot of breaks. Loved the scenery and the people we met along the way! Made sure to get Ice Cream up at the top for a long hike uphill:)

First Time hiking the Grand Canyon, and first time going to Phantom Ranch! Started off at about 645am in the morning (40 degrees) and went down this beautiful and scenic trail. Had a great time on the hike, seeing the Mule train coming up with packs and people. Great scenery and enjoyed every part of it. It was good to see Phantom Ranch and a great ending crossing the bridge over the Colorado River. Would love to do this hike again. Phantom Ranch temperature was in the 70s. Hiked down on Monday, 5/16/2011!

First time doing Picacho Peak! Great Hike, but need to get in better shape :) Make sure you bring gloves, cause there are climbing cables at some tough spots. Once you make it to the top, you get a great view all around!

Decided to try Tom's Thumb today. I was doing good until I hit the switchbacks about 2 miles from Tom's Thumb. I pushed on till I reached my goal, but will have an aching night, recovering from blisters. It was a great hike and I need to do it again and again. The view of the valley is awesome up there!

Hiked the Superstitions for the first time today! Started at the Peralta Trailhead and took the Paralta Trail up to Fremont Saddle. We got rewarded after hiking steadily up hill, with a great view of Weavers Needle! Hiked a little North East and found the single pine tree that is so talked about and saw a stunning view of the Needle and the surrounding valley. After a break we started down the Cave Trail #233. This trail is less traveled and is hard to follow (plus has some spots with good decents). We made it down! It was a great Hike overall, with good scenery! I can't wait for another trip out to the Superstitions!

Good local Hike! Once you get to the top of Shaw Butte, it's a good view of Maricopa County!
