Nice short out and back. You can continue to other trails, but I just did this one to ease myself back into hiking after a long hiatus. Clean and easily defined path, had some snow in parts but not bad. Only saw one couple on the way back, so it wasn’t busy at all.

Quick hike while I was out. The only thing that deterred me was the amount of snow that was still present. It came up to my shins in some parts so I was unable to complete this hike. I will return to it after the snow has melted.

Wonderful hike up Granite Mountain, the weather was perfect! I got out to the trail about 9 o’clock in the morning and finished about four or five going along at a leisure pace. Saw a tree that had been used as a scratching post by either a big cat or a bear which was interesting to see. I won’t lie it did make me a bit nervous!

I finally got up Granite Mountain! I’ve been eyeballing this mountain for quite some time trying to get it done but somethings always prevented me from actually getting out there and knocking it out. This time I was finally able to get out and complete this trail. I brought earmuffs and a jacket with me because the last time I went out I got about 3/4 of the way up to being on top of a mountain encountered a pretty good breeze so remembered to bring warm clothes with me for the top. My knee started acting up a little bit on the way down and I found a tree that had been used as a scratching post by either a bear or a mountain lion so that was a little unnerving. I still had a great time though! Now I can finally check this mountain off my list!

First decent hike in over a month and a half easily. Got out there and I was glad that I brought a jacket with me and earmuffs because the breeze was brisk. Was out and done within a couple of hours. Next time I go out I may add the flume trail along it’s add some mileage on there but this time I just did the straight Watson lake loop.

Had a great hike getting back out there with a friend and catching up in the fresh air. Did a loop around the lake and then sat and visited for a bit the weather was very nice out and the trail wasn’t as congested as it has been previously.

So today's hike went through the Vista Park area in Prescott. I did the Panorama Trail, crossed the road on Solstice drive to do the Pronghorn Trail, then went up and did the Vista View Loop, came back down through the Porcupine Trail to the Hackathorn Trail and followed Solstice drive a ways back to the starting point for the Panorama Trail. I passed part of Vista Park and then looped out back to the parking lot near Samaritan Way.

Beautiful hike/run around willow lake today. Got out around 7 am and finished about 10 am. Not too bad of a time! Did some of the willow lake shoreline trail when I was finishing the loop out.

Took a nice hike today with three of my friends to the memorial tree. Saw lots of wildflowers along with sides of the trail, lizards, and one snake slithering off to the side. It was a little hot at first, but the wind picked up a little bit and kept us cool for the rest of the hike. There was a moderate amounts of traffic on the way back but not so much snow that you took away from the overall experience. Ended up encountering a beehive when we went off into a wash to explore a fallen tree so that definitely added an interesting aspect to the hike.

Took my friends out on this trail earlier today. We only hiked a short bit of it because I just had spinal surgery at the end of February and I’m still recovering from it so my neck started hurting roughly a mile and a quarter of the way in. I’ve done this hike before to completion but it’s been a couple of years since I have done it. It was very nice out on the trail today and jogs my memory on just how pretty this hike is. Saw lots of horned lizards, kissing bugs, lizards and wildflowers. The traffic wasn’t too bad, there was only one other person with his dog and then a couple hiking along the way. I definitely plan on coming back and completing this once again when I have recovered more.
