Among its rooms, we find an Antique Christian Chapel in addition to two lakes of glazed tiles that were once used to make wine.

This winery (Bodegas) is in the town of Fuenmayor, about an hour and 1/2 to the east of Burgos where we are staying. Fuenmayor Located in the Ebro valley, Fuenmayor is a historical village made up of palaces and mansions that reflect its past and present wealth, based on the production of grapes and wine.

Fuenmayor is one of the most important wine-producing villages in the whole of the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin (D.O.C. Rioja). At the end of the 18th Century the Castilian Royal Economic Society of Rioja Harvesters, better known as the Royal Board of Harvesters (Real Junta de Cosecheros) was founded here; in a certain sense, the embryo of the current Regulating Council of the Designation.
