The facility is a major steel producer and a significant source of air pollutants, including nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide.
The company is currently transitioning to electric arc furnaces to reduce carbon emissions by up to 70 per cent and shrink its environmental footprint.
The transition is supported by government loans and new transmission lines being built by Hydro One.

The tourist boat was also out on the River.
