It was a good hike with cool temps and not a soul to be seen surprisingly on such a nice day. You could hear the streams well before you came upon them. It was one and a half hours to the falls. The rocks were covered with ice, as was the surrounding vegetation. We spent a lot of time at the falls. We lunched on the cliffs over looking Massacre grounds, and on the way back took a off trail side trip to the grounds, and tried to imagined what took place against those cliffs. There are cairns along the way, but the vegetation is tall and thick this spring. |
