After a minor off trail jaunt, I made my way up to the Massacre Falls Loop and took that a good ways but didn't make it all the way to the falls. I figured it would be merely a trickle right now if anything and the cornish pasty I brought on the trail with me for lunch didn't turn out to be the wisest choice-- although, a delicious one at the time. So I decided to make my day a loop and worked my way back to the Treasure Loop in Lost Dutchman and then Jacob's Crosscut. It turned out to be really nice way to hike that area and Lost Dutchman State Park was unusually dead for a weekend. I saved my GPS track but its pretty sloppy due to my indecisiveness and I don't think I'll post it unless someone thinks differently. The wildflowers are in full bloom right now and it was pretty beautiful. |
