Took the side trail to lower Punch Bowl but without wading, you couldn't see the falls and I wasn't about to wade in the creek at this time of the year. The sun hitting the mist from the falls did make for kind of a cool shot. The trail was in condition and I made good time to tunnel falls. Lots of water coming off at this time of the year although I imagine spring could bring even more water. Continued on past tunnel falls to next big falls on Eagle Creek. Found a nice spot to enjoy my lunch before heading back. The sun was hitting the falls and you could just make out a slight rainbow. Didn't turn out as good as it was "live" but isn't that always the case. Once I hit high bridge on the way back ran into lots of people. But other than the couple that was letting their three cute dogs run wild it wasn't bad. And it's a small price to pay for such a beautiful hike. |
