I remember being a little kid, seeing Camelback Mountain and getting really excited because it really does look like a camel. Since I started hiking it's been near the top of my list of hikes to do, and today I fulfilled that goal. Of course it was a Saturday morning, and even pre-dawn I got one of the last spots in the lot. After my ascent of Piestewa last year, I expected the crowds. It was a pretty cool hike with all the slickrock and what-not, definitely a couple notches above Piestewa. Now I want to try the other route up, hopefully on a weekday.
