| partners | | Having done Antero the day before we needed a day off. So Hank and I walked out the door of our ranch and hiked down the Arkansas River crossing it on a railroad bridge after a couple miles and hiked back on the other side of the river to a private foot bridge leading into Nathrop, CO where we were staying in our riverfront cabin. The pictures will tell the rest of the story.
Last May I made the reservations for our trip. Searching the internet I came across this website. http://www.riverfrontcabin.com/ I was blown away by the description and had to book it. The only week I could get was August 21 to 28 so I took it and booked Taos the week before (reservations are easy to get at Taos since they run at 10 to 20 percent of capacity during the summer and they are happy to get anyone there). With such a wonderful description on the website I have to say that the place exceeded all of my expectations so I would recommend this place whole heartedly but early booking is a must. This is a Mom and Pop operation and Karen Strother was a delight to deal with. |
