Started at the Canyon Vista Campgound on the Sandy's Canyon Trail on my way to Fisher Point and then a short trek deeper into Walnut Canyon. I went a little more than 2 miles past the first Cave/Alcove. to get a feel to see if it's possible to make it to the Walnut Creek Ruins.

The trail gets a lot less traveled as you get in there, but it's still a trail with signs of some mountain bike and horse traffic. I traced out a route that would be just shy of 9 miles one way from the Alcove/Cave under Fisher Point. It's now on my to do list.

Note: The large 50' deep cave is on the right, .4 mile after Fisher Point. There is a well worn path to it.

This is a real pretty canyon and the leaves are just starting to change!!
