Hit the trail at 5:55. I used a headlamp for a mile or so and then could see good enough after that. Nice hike and some great views.Not much sun until the climb out. The cooler temps sure made the climb out easier than the last time I did Battleship. Didn't see any other hikers but did see tons of quail. Got to Canyon Lake at 9:40. Grace was nice enough to pick me up and take me back to my car. Thanks Grace!
