Thanks Gentlemen! It took us awhile to set up the shuttle but we were off by 6:30 or so. The first couple miles had a decent amount of water and a lot of ferns. Lots of Pines and some oak. The trail was easy to follow and not to hot for the first couple hours. Once we dropped into East Clear Creek (no water) It started warming up on the climb out. Before crossing a major forest road the trail became white rock or gravel and went on for awhile. This road crossing also had a BIG AZT sign although the start of the hike didn't. Hmmm? The Mormon segment was this way too. This side of the creek seemed a little dryer but we did pass a couple campgrounds that may of had water. This hike was pretty quiet and we only saw one small group of Elk but it was a brief sighting. Nice hike, Great company. |
