Some along the road to trail head, five along the trail. Would not have seen them if one had not brayed at us. Judy, Java and I did this counter clockwise...going out 3.5 miles then returning. We both liked this hike as lots of little ups, downs and around. Someone put a lot of time into cairns, but we needed them in some spots. No one else on the trail on this Thursday morning.
