| partners | | spent a great day in the superstitions going up to aylor's arch
much of the route goes along dutchman's, then up a mostly dry creek bed and then up an off trail portion to near the arch
the views were superb up there, although it was kind of overcast and hazy all day
some fun scrambling on the rock fins
we all got within about three feet from the top of the arch and had a nice lunch just below it

have no idea what moving time was
the hike description has this at nine miles, but we all had it right at eleven
i was very surprised at how few people we came across
one of my goals for 2011 is to do some new hikes, and this fit the bill nicely
hoping for a few more loops in the supes yet this spring |
