| partners | | ACA Rating: 3C IV We had the day off from work, so ran up the Barnhardt & Sandy Saddle trails and dropped into upper Barnhardt Canyon. Last time it was icy and lightly flowing, but this time is had a moderate flow which made for a warm rocking day playing in the creek, pools, and waterfalls. Loads and loads of rock hopping and down climbing were involved in exploring down this amAZing canyon, with a few rappels and slides along the way. Only took my 3mm full this time and glad I did since the water wasn't that cold and we got a fair amount of sun... Too bad these canyons don't stay like this year-round. But that will give me something to look forward to next spring. |
