More snow than we expected but still a lovely, occasionally muddy, hike. Also went along Saddle Mtn trail a short ways - didn't see any footsteps for the "topohiker copper camp loop" - guess they gave that up - probably wise given the conditions.

Scared a coyote in the creek - it took off at great speed -far too quick for me to get my camera :) . Also met a guy on horseback with 12-15 dogs. :o
