At 230pm, we decided we'd start this next section. It was all road again. We started off fast and then began jogging and we were making great time. It started drizzling and we stopped jogging. There was one part of road that was chunky dried mud right near the ranch but it didn't last long. Now we were climbing and the wind was gusting in our face. We powered thru it and covered 8 miles in 2 hours and 15 minutes and stopped 15 minutes shy of our 5pm pre-arranged end time. Mike's father in law was waiting for us. What an amazing, challenging, and fun adventure. We covered 64.7 miles in 3 days thru some tough elements. Mike is such a humble man for someone who has accomplished so much. He kept saying...it was all about raising money for The Foundation for Blind Children to help the children help themselves. |
