| no partners | | Uneventful for the first 2 miles (could even hear tire noise from the I-40 frwy) I liken it to the Elden Lookout trail in Flag. But after the 2 mile mark - its a whole different story. Very lush and green. Lots of shade and tall pine and aspen trees.
About the last 1/2 mile from the Lookout tower - when the trail hits the forest road - THOUSANDS of LADYBUGS swarming EVERYWHERE!!! Just a cloud of them. Eric in the lookout tower said that it had just started today (so the few who did it yesterday - Good Timing!)
Couldn't really enjoy the views or even chill and have lunch because of the ladybugs - but awesome no less. I will probably do this one again - when the leaves turn colors and the ladybugs have taken a break.
