| no partners | | It's the curse of Bill Williams. Once again, I had miserable conditions on the mountain. I wasn't completely socked in, but it rained, hailed, and there was plenty of close lightning. I sheltered under a grounded structure, but I still got cold and wet. I really hoped to have a nice view today. Instead, I had what was probably the best view I have had from the summit of this mountain, but still a lousy view. It might have been better if I had climbed and entered the tower.
I was thinking of coming back out when the leaves change, but now I'm not so sure. The trail itself is kind of boring and I don't know that I want to do it again. I might like to try a different trail to the summit and hope to get some fall colors and the view from the summit I have been hoping for. This may be Williams, AZ's version of Mt Elden, but it is no Elden. Even with the radio towers all over up there. |
