| no partners | | | With the Monument Fire burning in the eastern portions of the Huachuca Mountains, I just had to go down there and take a look. So I drove to Tombstone, then over on the Charleston Road to Sierra Vista, before returning home the scenic way through Sonoita. Very disturbing to see, as this is one of one of my favorite areas to visit. The photos are from Thursday, the first of two very windy days that forced the fire to roar down out of the canyons into the flats crossing Highway 92. The second was 3 days later on Sunday. Photo stops were in the Tombstone Hills, the San Pedro River, and eastern Sierra Vista. All taken between about 1-3 PM. |
