Perfect day for a hike. The weather was perfect with very little wind. At the 9500ft portion of the trail, all the footsteps stopped. Untouched snow from here on up. There was about 4 inches of snow on the trail. We didn't go all the way to the Weatherford intersection. We stopped about a mile shy. Hiked up a small Rockface hill and relaxed for about an hour. My nephew Rob, got a 40 minute nap in. The only disappointment was the fall colors. The trees went from Green at the lower elevations to black. No inbetween yellows.
