| no partners | | | Got to the trailhead at about 4pm. Followed the trail around to the back of the cliff then went up. Kinda steep, not too bad though but kicked a cactus up into my calf and had to use a stick to get it out. Very nice view of the dam once you get to the top of the climb. Follow the ridge all the way out to the end of the cliff. Great views of the lake especially at sunset. Sat up there and took some pictures and just relaxed for about a half hour before heading back to the truck. Was a very nice after work hike, only took an hour and 45 minutes to get up and back, including sitting around at the top for a while. Definitely recommended if you wanna get out of Phoenix for a little bit and aren't looking for a very time consuming hike. Also the views at sunset are awesome, I'll put up some of the pics I took. |
