Another Thanksgiving backpack into colorful Aravaipa Canyon. Starting from the east trailhead, we hiked to Deer Canyon, and set up base camp. The colors are always dazzling in late November. While exploring Horse Canyon, Kurt became part of the Aravaipa swimming team when he slipped into a cold bowl of ice water. Talk about shrinkage factor!
