Took a beautiful hike up to Maiden Pools today. This was my first trip into Ventana Canyon. Cool and slightly cloudy in the morning, perfect for hoofing it up that ridge to the pools. Spent about 1/2 hour napping on the rocks next to a very full pool. Saw a couple of dogs on the trail, confused as to if the rules changed about bringing dogs past the wilderness gate. I loved this canyon and I cannot wait to go back and reach the window.
