Wally and I took the Wally-mobile to Peter's trailhead to look for Jesse again. That road is always an adventure. We checked out Indian Spring II and headed up Indian Spring Canyon. We started on the left side but it got so thick we had to switch to the right. That worked out alot better and the few Poppies we saw were on that side anyway .Once we got to the saddle the rocks were red and it was a pretty cool area.Nice view of Tortilla Peak and it looks like you can take the ridgeline over to it.We went over the saddle and on to Peak 4586.No clues. All we saw were some old steel pop cans. The views of the Supes from up here are awesome. You can see so many other peaks.Very cool. You can even see Canyon and Saguaro Lakes. We ate lunch here then headed over to Peak 4581 before taking a Wally route back to the Jeep.No signs any where .We made good time heading back so Wally took me over to show me where George Miller's Grave was. When we got back to the trailhead some SSAR gentlemen were there.Sendo,Donnie, and John had done some searching too.It was nice to meet and talk to them.Such a vast area to search. No luck this time. Thanks for the hike and driving,Wally. You Rock! |
