| partners | | | The ride on FR213 was an adventure. We kept the windows up so no one bounced out. Peters trail is better than the last time we were here. There is a little catclaw but the vines have died and the trail was easy to follow. We hiked up to the saddle above Kane Spring and tried a new route. While Joe found a way up on the ridge the rest of us didn't notice right away. We hiked on planning to meet him but ended up going up the long way so Joe waited an hour on the peak. The scenic route was rough but new territory is always fun. If you hike with me off trail my navigating skills are more Columbo than Columbus so it's always an adventure. The views from the peak are awesome but there's a price to get there. We hiked down Indian Spring Canyon but there is some route finding to be done or you could easily cliff out. On the drive out people hiking FR213 just looked at us and shook their heads and smiled. Maybe Denny, Bob and Mike were making faces in the back? Thanks to all who dared to take the experimental journey. |
