| partners | | This was another outing on the Arizona Trail.Bruce's ability to plan our trips mileage and timeframe are uncanny.I met Bruce and Joe at 4:00am,we met Dave to set up shuttle and were hiking by a little after 7:00.The weather was great and the boys were full of nothing but pleasant conversation .I don't know where they get all the energy on little sleep.The birds were singing and Joe was trying out his birdcalls.This section has a lot of rolling hills but nothing to steep.We saw a decent amount of wildflowers some deer and a coyote.We also saw one hiker comming the other way.He said he did the trail 10 years ago and was doing some of it again.There was not much shade on this but we found enough for a lunch break.Lots of cacti in this section.The boys did great but I got a little tender footed the last 6 miles or so.All and all another great hike with Bruce,Dave and Joe.37 passages down and 6 to go.  |
