| no partners | | Decided to do a solo Big Jim today, I had no time constraints (which is a rare thing) It was a perfect hike all around, warm, light wind, and no one else on the trail. Once I got the end of Big Jim I decided to have my snacks and practice my micro photography? on some bee's pollinating fresh blooms, oh by the way, someone forgot to tell the bee's to stay still .
I'm sure everyone has heard a hawk screech, it's quite awesome, especially when it's dead quiet. I got to experience a rare event. I heard 2 hawks screeching so i stopped to watch them, come to find out their were 4 hawks playing, so I crouched down and watched the show. They were dive bombing and running in to each other just feet above my head, in fact they we're so close that I could hear the swoooosh of their wings as they zoomed by me. this lasted for 5 minutes or so, then they gradually flew off. This really made my day and I was blessed to experience such a wonderful show of power in this natural setting. |
