| no partners | | I've wanted to come and see this area for some time now, it did not disappoint. Well, I take that last part back, it was disappointing when the ATV guys showed up, especially the guy with his hard to start 2 stroke, MR. sit here and rev it up for 10 minutes 
Spotted 3 Bald Eagles...... like 1000 ft up in the sky, too hard to watch them at those altitudes, bum deal. I left the Needle Rock beach area and headed back toward the parking area on the way out. This is where I found the mother load of water fowl: 3 Great Blue Herons, 4 Mallard ducks, 10 Stilts, I think I got some great photos, of course I sat in mud for an hour to get them, I was doing my best Gummo crouch and roll technique, for as not to spook them 
It is really amazing being able to observe these birds in such a wonderful natural environment. I will be back here very soon. Too bad the beer drinkers and ATV riders have to trash everything up. But, their are some nice secluded areas, within walking distance. |
