| no partners | | Hubby and I take our buggy nearly every weekend out on the desert. Our usual route involves Putnam Spring, and we usually end up making some kind of loop back down into Grant's Wash. This was a wildflower search day for photos. I don't know about the rest of AZ, but this area was pretty showy with poppies.
We left our house at about 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 3. Our first stop was right at Putnam Spring where we found the Parry's Penstemon. From there, we found mainly California Poppies, but there were carpets of them. We took several side trips during the day, had lunch in Grants Wash, then headed home in the evening for a bbq with family. A great day! |
