| no partners | | Today was a break in the buggy diffs day again. We left the house at around 8:30, our main objective was to put some miles on it, and of course see how many critters we could find. We weren't disappointed, that's for sure. The very first thing we saw was the brightest orange Gila Monster I've ever seen. What a beauty! The pics I took were after he had already headed back into the shade, so they do no justice to his color.
We had a great day, put about 30 miles on the buggy, saw a mule deer buck and three does, lots of red tail hawks, quail, and various desert birds we always see. I took pictures of a stock pond that had green algae all over it, I just thought it was kinda cool. I like the contrast between the colors. (Hey, I'm an artist! What can I say...)
It got hot on us, so we went home a little earlier than we had planned and got into the pool to cool off. Good times! |
