| partners | | After our Hike down West Bear and Upper Bear Canyons, Hank and I drove over to where Brian (BEEBEE) was participating in a Field Day being put on by his Amateur Radio Club. Hank had some interest in it, especially since Brian had fixed his radio for him. I've been around Ham Radios in the past and think it's pretty fun, but I was pretty much just along for the ride, enjoying the day with friends, more than actually "taking part" in the Radio stuff. The technical lingo pretty much gets me lost pretty quick.
Soooo, while Hank was happily talking on the radio to someone in New Jersey, I sauntered off and over to the edge of the Rim, not far from where the Campsites were set up. Took a few pictures and enjoyed the views tremendously. The late afternoon Sun was really lighting up the edges of the Rim nicely. Got a few pics of some Weeds just for Brian while I was at it....
Wandered back into camp and had a little dinner with Hank, some more nice conversation with Brian and his Radio Club members and then Hank and I took off for the Valley. Enjoyed meeting and talking with the Club Members and Brian. Thanks for the invite Brian!!! |
