| no partners | | Spent two nights dispersed Camping just off the Forest Road to Grand View Peak. It was a very nice area with a good Campsite that almost required a 4x4 to get to, but the Escape did real well. Very peaceful and I had the entire area to myself both nights....  Didn't see any wildlife here except for the birds and squirrels.
I did, however, make it back to camp before Sunset on the second evening, so I crossed the Forest Road and climbed up to a Ridge near my camp and followed the Ridge along for a short ways. I had nice brief Overlooks to the North, but was looking for one to the West and eventually I found an area that afforded a nice view of the Sunset. Enjoyed the drama between the Sun and the Clouds for almost an hour before returning to camp, just before pitch dark. Will be using this Campsite again some day.... |
