| no partners | | Day/Night 1 of my Dispersed Camping/Hiking Trip to Southeastern AZ. The drive down was scenic as always and as I came into Pima, I just had to stop and catch the Sunset over Mount Turnbull. Such an awesome Mountain....
Wanted to camp up a little bit high so as not to have to endure the heat overnight, but wanted to not go too far up the Mountain, as Chad and I planned on going to Morenci the next day. Road to Nowhere seemed like a perfect spot with a nice overlook of the valley below, just a little ways off the Swift Trail. And it was perfect. Nice night with moonlit clouds and a breeze that kept me from getting too warm. I was the only one there the whole night and had a nice view of the Sunrise in the morning. And as an added bonus, just as I left the overlook area, I jumped two Whitetailed Deer, who decided to stop and check me out before they disappeared over the ridge. Really good start to a nice trip!! |
