| partners | | Started out counterclockwise, Bluff Springs trail first, good plan too, the hike the other way doesn't seem to appetizing at noon in 100 degree heat 
Stopped for a sweet lunch at the base of The Needle, very romantic even with the sun blaring down on us, people think we're freaks, but that's the perfect date really!
Dog over heated after 7 miles...hmmm, boyfriend had to carry the dog the last 5...
where is the "HOLY *#@&&# IT'S HOT" smiley icon?? 
Dog is fine, we came out battered, bruised, a bit sun burned, with one half cup of water left between our 4 hydration bladders.
Why is it everytime we hit the Supes something crazy goes wrong? We plan so well too!!! ](https://hikearizona.com/dex2/images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall")
So...moral of THIS story is, no dogs after May in the Superstitions if you are hiking over 5 miles! 
Other than that madness, had a great trip, spent some quality time together dragging our 30 pound dog back to the extremely hot black vehicle! Enjoyed a lovely lunch together, and I was SO excited to FINALLY see the beauty and magnificence that is Weaver's Needle!!!  |
