Another "Hippy Hike", the group in the Subaru was lucky they made it to the Trailhead the way I was driving. Of course Chumley and 9L came screaming into the dirt parking lot, unexpectedly, almost side swiping my Suby! I might have screamed a little. :scared:

So I've done this trail before but had never headed up Black Top Mesa and I was expecting worse, granted I was sucking air like a hoover, but it was much easier than I expected.
The view of the Needle bathed in the light of the full moon was spectacular, I could've sat there all night staring at her.

If anyone heads out there anytime soon can you keep an eye out for a muddy rock around mile 8, I'm pretty sure I left my pride right about there somewhere. I'd love to get that back, thanks. pumpkin! :oops:
