| no partners | | Another beautiful late summer morning for a bike ride through Carlos Avery. There was a brief rain last evening that was now responsible for a heavy dew and a thin layer of mist that only added to the mystique of the ride. The Wolves were howling in the distance and the Sandhill Cranes were trumpeting from somewhere out in the tall cattails.
I've got lots of things passing through my mind now, cause within the last couple of days, I found out that my brother, and favorite hiking partner, is going to have to be treated for Liver Cancer. So far we don't know anything more than that and we are waiting for the diagnosis. These bike rides now offer me the solitude I need to think things out. |
