This is truly an awe inspiring hike. We went from Carney Springs to LDSP. This hike is very strenuous, but the views are definitely worth the effort. Both the hike and the views are breathtaking. I show 11.5 miles and 4,600 feet accumulated elevation gain. Perfect weather. Temps in the low 70's. I went through close to 6 liters of water & electrolytes. Never underestimate the amount of liquids that you will need!!!

Great leaders, Terry & Jim, and a great group. Jim's & Eric's guidance & patience made my trek down Siphon Draw safer & easier. It was great to have people who really knew the route and knew canyoneering to help with some of those rocks. I am very grateful.

I'm looking forward to seeing Darrell's (AZ-Outdoorsman) photos when he posts them. Since he's such a strong hiker, he really maneuvers around to get great photos. My photo looking down Siphon Draw was not purposely framed from that angle, I was just too tired to stand up to take the photo  .

Saw the effects of lack of electrolytes - a couple of hikers with bad cramps. Terry had some sort of sublingual quinine(?) tablet/wafer that seemed to work wonders. He said he got it at a health food store. Also saw the effects of wearing the wrong boots - Steve won't see those toenails for a while.

If you are not certain that you have what it takes to make this hike, don't attempt it. If you "think" you "might" have what it takes, you probably don't. Make sure you can do Flatiron before attempting Ridgeline.
