We stayed at the Jacob Lake Inn (JLI) and had the room for another night so he could leave his dog there. We spotted a car the night before and got an early start. It was easy hiking, though a long hike for me. The first half was pine forest and the second half was scrub. We could see a thunder storm building as we hiked which helped keep the sun a bay. It started raining just as we reached Tom's truck and then poured. The trip back to JLI was an adventure as House Rock Road had many flooded and muddy areas. The sun was shining when we reached the motel. |
