| partners | | My last two sections to finish the AZT.We might as well do them both together.(sorry feet)Joe and I did our first section(AZT#31)June 18th 2010 with Grace helping with the shuttle.We were hooked.Right away Hazers started offering to help.HAZ ROCKS!Grace helped with many more as did some kind family members.Before long Bruce and Dave were hooked.Then Nick.Even Wally joined in on a couple as did Bob.Thanks to everyone and anyone that helped in any way!
#42 We had a big group on this one.Seven counting Ben.This is a nice stroll through the pines.We did not see any water on this one.We did see a couple through-hikers that Dave and Nick had met already.The asked about water sources and as you would expect from HAZERS we told them we didn't know of any but they were welcome to a couple quarts of ours.They were ok but just wondering for later.Nice hike and lots of great conversation.
#43 From Pines to Juniper and lots of some sort of sage or something.There was even some OAK thrown in.The conversation got better and better.To reminisce about the AZT hikes and then have Dave do the AZT trivia was so fitting!After that the group spread out and we all did some self reflecting.No parade at the end but the views of the red cliffs weren't to shabby!
From there John and Ben helped us find a camping spot then wen't on to there next adventure.
What a fitting camp spot to spend with the crew that did the majority of the sections with me.The views of the cliffs with the sun setting,and then the amount of stars were absolutely amazing.I could not have done it without all of you.Thanks gentlemen for the lasting(i hope  )friendships and the amazing adventure!!You all rock!   |
