Then we headed for the visitor center at the park. From there we scoped out Jenny Lake and the hike to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. I was bracing myself for herds of people since it was Labor Day weekend. I thought for sure that overflow from the boat shuttle would clog up the trail around the lake. We were lucky and the number of people hiking around the lake was low. Again I did notice that many tourists (men mostly) had bear spray attached to their packs.
Hidden Falls is quite beautiful. The the views of some of the high peaksfromthearea above Inspiration Point was spectacular. Definitely a nice short hike!
I am now all excited for a return trip to my homeland to do the Teton Crest Trail hopefully next year! I am very thankful for all my airline miles and hotel points at times like these |
