Dome Mountain Loop

We left Dome Mountain TH on FS #10 and turned to the right on FS #1356. Then walked about 1/2 mile to wash and trail going west when we left FS #1356. As we walked we had great view of Dome Mountain. We came to the canyon that approached the wash on the right and explored the cave that was an interesting formation of molten rock.

As we walked a little farther, we found a good view of Mask Arches. Then we bushwhacked our way up to the arches. There was also a ridgeline trail to an great overlook of the Goldfields, including a view of FS #10 meandering through the mountainside. To the south, we could see a horse trail moving toward FS #10, that would create a loop back to the TH.
