| no partners | | My first time around this loop. It's a pretty nice hike, although a lot of it is very flat, when you are on the mesa. I saw only two other people: a mtn. biker and his girlfriend who was a runner. At one point the human footprints in the trail disappeared and I realized that a herd of elk had been walking along the trail a few minutes in front of me, but I never did see them. I went on this hike after having attended the TRACKS Christmas party. It was fun, there were about 50 people there, and the food was great. But I couldn't convince any of them that an after-brunch hike would be just the thing, so I went by myself! |
