| no partners | | | Went with some friends to Red Rocks last weekend. Park was full! Usually the further down the scenic drive you go, the fewer the cars... but we had to park along the street as the designated parking was full. It is a short hike, only 2.5 miles round trip. We brought a 7yr old lab/mastiff mix and she struggled through some of the bouldering, which turned the short hike into a long one. A lot of other people brought their dogs, but I can't say I'd recommend this hike for all dogs. Gotta have a billy-goat-dog for this one! Not much water left. Pretty views going back out of the canyon. I thought it was going to be a warm day, but it turned out absolutely perfect with a slight breeze. Not sure which hike in the canyon I want to do next... suggestions? |
