| Kyle & I attended our first HAZfest and had a blast. Here is what I learned:
1 ) HAZers are beer connoisseurs: Budlight is for emergency purposes ONLY
2 ) Start collecting firewood in January: Nonot doesn't mess around
3 ) No need to bring a cell phone on a HAZ event: Chumley gives updates of HAZ news every 30 minutes
4 ) There is no fire too large for Elliot to jump over
5 ) Steer clear of Larry around the fire, unless you like eating smoke
6 ) There is a strong possibility Hippy has a dead animal fetish
7 ) HAZers drink beer (or mountain dew) with breakfast
8 ) Unvented cans of soup + cigarette buds in the fire don't mix well
9 ) Poop is a very common (and 100% normal?) topic of discussion
10 ) HAZers leave a campsite cleaner than they find it
I hope to see familiar faces on future hikes!!! A big thanks to Chumley for putting together a great event. We'll definitely be there for the next one!  |
