Had the opportunity to go to a friend's Ranch off the east entrance of Zion this past weekend. It wasn't a big hiking trip by any means, more of a fun cabin trip with friends full of typical ranch festivities: ATVing, peasant hunting, obstacle courses, campfires, stargazing, FOOD, cards against humanity, etc ... But we did do one small hike for the people that had never been to Zion before. This is a quick hike that you shouldn't pass up on your way into the park. It's a fun stroll with spectacular views!

We entered the park to get to the ranch at night and left the park at night... both times seeing tons of deer on the side of the road. I saw 4-5 big horn sheep in the same place I have seen them the past two times we have gone to Zion, but this time my buddy wasn't with me to stop the car for the photo op. We also drove by the house in Rockville that was ironically hit by a large boulder. They put a fence around the property, but the scene looks untouched with the car/house still trapped under the big boulder. Sad story... read more here: http://www.stgeorgeutah.com/news/archiv ... o-gallery/

Zion is such a nice place to visit. I included some photos of the amazing ranch we stayed at just for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
