| no partners | | On sunday morning a couple college friends and I embarked onto another adventure in this great state. We picked to go to Brown's Peak, this would be my third trip there and first while "in-season" the two previous times i have gone there in winter time and summitted with the chute being full of ice. What a difference makes going up without having to constantly double check not to slip off the compressed ice. We encountered several people along the trail and many had already been to the summit. Once we made our way thru and reached the summit we were greeted by thousands of ladybugs, flys and a very curious and friendly squirrel that had an interest in our trail mix....it even ate it straight from my hand. Weather conditions were perfect all day long and stayed at the summit for almost an hour before making our way back down...where we encountered a couple on their way up with two big dogs which were also making their way to the summit. |
